Wendy Barrett has been in Theatre Education for over 28 years. She served as head of the Theatre Department at Lewisville High School for 25 years, and during that time made 2 State UIL One Act Play appearances, in 1991 as the director of Threads, and in 2015 as an assistant to the State Winning Play The African Company Presents Richard III. She is a proud member of TETA and served on the LISD Theatre Advocacy Board in 2013. Wendy has been active in forensics and has made several State and National appearances. An advocate for the arts, Wendy believes that the UIL OAP process unifies a community, fosters student imagination, and serves as a structured discipline that has positive impact long after the curtains go down.
